Watch Vampire Academy Online If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to have some kind of severe brain injury that leaves you incapable of understanding simple concepts, Vampire Academy is the film for you. Somehow it manages to combine a set-up so amazingly basic it could be taught to mice with the story-telling approach of a sugar-crazed nine year-old trying to tell you about the Franco-Prussian War based on something they think they overheard while behind chased through a university history department by a bear. Put another way, there’s about seven hours of story here packed into a hundred minutes and trying to follow it all will make your head explode.

Our story begins with a happy vampire family being killed in a car crash. No wait, that was a flashback: teen vampire Lissa Dragomir (Lucy Fry) just had a bad dream about the death of her family and her psychically-linked human guardian Rose Hathaway (Zoey Dutch) picked up on it. They’re currently on the run from St Vladimir’s, AKA Vampire Academy, for reasons unknown, and by “reasons unknown” I mean the film never actually explains why they’re on the run (we find out who sent them into hiding, but why they did it? Never explained). Not that it matters because they’re promptly recaptured and shipped back to school, so forget the last five minutes even happened.
